Bobbie began painting in 1964 with Laguna Beach-California artist Vincent Farrell, an acclaimed pupil of Sergei Bongart, a master of Russian Impressionism. Today, Bobbie paints Sedona’s magnificent landscapes in pastels and oils, and is creating a new body of plein air pastels while traveling with her fine-art photographer husband. Her work has been exhibited and sold at the Sedona Arts Center, at galleries in Sedona and in greater Phoenix, and at the Tempe Festival of the Arts. In 2006 she was the featured artist at the Tempe Spring Festival of the Arts, where her oil painting “Reflections at Red Rock Crossing” appeared on festival posters, banners and collateral. The original oil painting was purchased by the city of Tempe. She is a member of Arizona Plein Air Artists and of the Arizona Pastel Artists Association. Her work regularly appears in their exhibits. Bobbie’s paintings are in private collections in Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Arizona, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and California.
